AC-DC - Satellite Blues [promo].VOB HQ rare promo music video from a promo DVD. "Satellite Blues" is a song by Australian rock band AC/DC, released as a single, and featured on their 2000 album, Stiff Upper Lip. This would also be AC/DC's last single until the release of 2008's "Rock And Roll Train" from Black Ice. Stiff Upper Lip is the 14th Australian and 13th international studio album by Australian hard rock band AC/DC; it was released in February 2000. The album was recorded at The Warehouse Studio in Vancouver, British Columbia and mastered at Sterling Sound in New York City. The album was produced by George Young, older brother of Malcolm and Angus Young. The three singles to be released from it were the title track, "Safe in New York City", and "Satellite Blues". These three songs plus "Meltdown" were played live on the subsequent world tour. The album is currently certified platinum in the US for shipments in excess of 1,000,000 copies. AC/DC are an Australian rock band, formed in 1973 by brothers Malcolm and Angus Young. Although the band are commonly classified as hard rock and are considered a pioneer of heavy metal, they have always classified their music as rock and roll. To date they are one of the highest grossing bands of all time. AC/DC underwent several line-up changes before releasing their first album, High Voltage, in 1975. Membership remained stable until bassist Mark Evans was replaced by Cliff Williams in 1978 for the album Powerage. Within months of recording the album Highway to Hell, lead singer and co-songwriter Bon Scott died on 19 February 1980, after a night of heavy alcohol consumption. The group briefly considered disbanding, but Scott's parents urged them to continue and hire a new vocalist. Ex-Geordie singer Brian Johnson was auditioned and selected to replace Scott. Later that year, the band released their highest selling album, Back in Black. As of 2010, AC/DC had sold more than 200 million albums worldwide, including 71 million albums in the United States alone. Back in Black has sold an estimated 50 million units worldwide, making it the second-highest-selling album by any artist ΓÇô behind only Michael Jackson's Thriller ΓÇô and the highest-selling album by any band. The album has sold 22 million units in the US alone, where it is the sixth-highest-selling album of all time. AC/DC ranked fourth on VH1's list of the "100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock" and were named the seventh "Greatest Heavy Metal Band of All Time" by MTV. In 2004, AC/DC ranked No. 72 on the Rolling Stone list of the "100 Greatest Artists of All Time". Legendary producer Rick Rubin, who wrote an essay on the band for the Rolling Stone list, referred to AC/DC as "the greatest rock and roll band of all time." In 2010, AC/DC were ranked number 23 in the VH1 list of the "100 Greatest Artists of All Time". Stiff Upper Lip was released in 2000 and was well received by critics, and the band's latest studio album, Black Ice, was released on 20 October 2008 and was the second-highest-selling album of that year. AC/DC - '74 Jailbreak [1984][2003][Japan Remaster] 1. Jailbreak 2. You Ain't Got A Hold On Me 3. Show Business 4. Soul Stripper 5. "Baby, Please Don't Go" 320 KBPS Cover Art From Wikipedia: AC/DC are an Australian hard rock band, formed in November 1973 by brothers Malcolm and Angus Young, who have remained constant members. Commonly referred to as a hard rock or blues rock band, they are also considered pioneers of heavy metal and are sometimes classified as such, though they have always dubbed their music as simply "rock and roll". To date they are one of the highest-grossing bands of all time. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From Amazon: Released for the American fans that were still paying attention, '74 Jailbreak was a short collection (only 24 minutes) of tracks taken from two Australia-only releases. "Jailbreak" had already appeared on the Australian version of Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, while the other ones were taken from High Voltage (1975). As for the quality of the songs, it's there! While not as heavy as the grinding crunch of Let There Be Rock or Powerage , the songs show a more blues-oriented version of the band, even more so than the American version of High Voltage (which leads me to presume the songs gathered here were taken from the band's early stages when they were still experimenting and trying to make sense of their own brilliant style). The undisputed highlight here is the title track, a delicious riff-rocker that has all of the Scott-era swagger and a bluesy core that was absent from the next line-up's releases. Other proof of the much more roots-oriented music of the band are the frantic boogie-rock of "Show Business" (with lots of nice soloing by an Angus, who was only 15 at the time) and Joe Williams' classic "Baby Please Don't Go" that's clearly based on the version of Ted Nugent's Amboy Dukes, and this implies it's fast `n nasty. "You Ain't Got a Hold on Me" and "Soul Stripper" are less impressive, the first one being a decent but unremarkable laidback blues-rocker, while the second one is a lengthy dirge that nevertheless contains some fiery guitar playin' and some rare percussion touches. So, '74 Jailbreak is obviously a must for any self-respecting fan, and we all know that a self-respecting AC/DC-fan is also a Bon Scott-fan, so there you go. I still haven't found an answer as to why it only contains five songs - for chrissakes! - and still costs as much as any other of their releases. It's a mystery why they didn't include the remaining songs from the Australian albums, such as "School Days" (from T.N.T.), "Stick Around" and "Love Song" (from High Voltage), "R.I.P" (from Dirty Deeds) or even the rare single version of "Can I Sit Next to You Girl?" they recorded with Dave Evans on vocals. All those would've fit on one shiny disc, and then the full-price would've been justified. Oh well, just ignore impotence and buy it anyway, after you've purchased all the other Scott-era albums, of course.

In 2010, AC/DC were ranked number 23 in the VH1 list of the "100 Greatest Artists of All Time". ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Flick of the Switch is the ninth Australian and eighth international studio album by Australian hard rock band AC/DC, recorded shortly after their European Tour at the beginning of 1983. The album was originally released in the US on 15 August 1983. The album was self-produced by AC/DC and reached #4 in UK and #15 in the US, and has been certified platinum by the RIAA. On the recorded commentary on the album for the Live at Donington DVD, the band members state that the album was an attempt to make the band raw again, and were happy with the result. After having problems with Malcolm as well as drugs and alcohol, drummer Phil Rudd was fired midway through the album's recording sessions, although he had completed his drum parts. Former Procol Harum drummer B.J. Wilson was hired to help complete the recording if needed, but his contributions were not used. The drum position was eventually filled by future Dio drummer Simon Wright after more than 700 auditions were held in the U.S. and UK. This Means War 320 KBPS Cover Art From Wikipedia: AC/DC are an Australian hard rock band, formed in November 1973 by brothers Malcolm and Angus Young, who have remained constant members. Commonly referred to as a hard rock or blues rock band, they are also considered pioneers of heavy metal and are sometimes classified as such, though they have always dubbed their music as simply "rock and roll". To date they are one of the highest-grossing bands of all time. AC/DC underwent several line-up changes before releasing their first album, High Voltage, on 17 February 1975. Membership subsequently stabilised until bassist Mark Evans was replaced by Cliff Williams in 1977 for the album Powerage. Within months of recording the album Highway to Hell, lead singer and co-songwriter Bon Scott died on 19 February 1980 after a night of heavy alcohol consumption. The group briefly considered disbanding, but buoyed by support from Scott's parents, decided to continue and set about finding a new vocalist. Ex-Geordie singer Brian Johnson was auditioned and selected to replace Scott. Later that year, the band released the new album, Back in Black, which was made as a tribute to Bon Scott. The album launched them to new heights of success and became their all time best-seller, selling over 10,000 copies a day in its first week. The band's next album, For Those About to Rock We Salute You, was their first album to reach number one in the United States. AC/DC declined in popularity soon after drummer Phil Rudd was fired in 1983 and was replaced by future Dio drummer Simon Wright. The band experienced a resurgence in the early 1990s with the release of The Razors Edge. Phil Rudd returned in 1994 after Chris Slade, who was with the band from 1989ΓÇô1994, was asked to leave in favour of him, and contributed to the band's 1995 album Ballbreaker. Since then, the band's line-up has remained the same. Stiff Upper Lip was released in 2000 and was well received by critics, and the band's latest studio album, Black Ice, was released on 20 October 2008 and was the second-highest-selling album of that year. It was their biggest hit on the charts since For Those About to Rock, eventually reaching No.1 on all charts worldwide. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Blow Up Your Video is the eleventh studio album by Australian hard rock band AC/DC, first released on 18 January 1988. It was later released in the US on 1 February 1988. The album was recorded at the Miraval Studio in Le Val, France, in between August and September 1987. The album was produced by Harry Vanda and George Young, the production team behind the band's early albums. This was also the final studio album to feature drummer Simon Wright. Although he wrote all the lyrics on the album, it would be the last on which Brian Johnson was credited as a songwriter (all songs on subsequent albums were written by the Young brothers). The title of the album was taken from a line in the song "That's The Way I Wanna Rock 'n' Roll". The album was the band's biggest-selling album of new material since For Those About to Rock We Salute You, being certified Platinum in the US.[2] Blow Up Your Video reached #2 in the UK and #12 in the US. However, the band played four tracks from it on the subsequent world tour, "Heatseeker", "That's the Way I Wanna Rock 'n' Roll", "Nick of Time" and "Go Zone". "Heatseeker" and "That's the Way I Wanna Rock 'n' Roll" are also featured on AC/DC Live Collector's Edition. "Heatseeker" was a top 20 hit in the UK. The album was re-released in 2003 as part of the AC/DC Remasters series. During the Blow Up Your Video world tour, Malcolm Young decided not to participate in the North American leg, in order to get over an alcohol addiction. Filling in for him was Malcolm and Angus' nephew, Stevie Young, although Malcolm was present on the rest of the tour and in the Blow Up Your Video promotional videos. The album was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance Vocal or Instrumental in 1989, but lost to Jethro Tull's Crest of a Knave. Outtakes from the recording sessions include the unreleased songs "Let It Loose" and "Alright Tonight", as well as other versions of "Heatseeker", and "That's the Way I Wanna Rock 'n' Roll". ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Brian Johnson – lead vocals Angus Young – lead guitar Malcolm Young – rhythm guitar, backing vocals Cliff Williams – bass guitar, backing vocals Simon Wright – drums, percussion

The band's second and last self-produced album, it was also the first AC/DC album since the original Australian version of High Voltage not to include drummer Phil Rudd, who was replaced by Simon Wright (although Wright appeared in music videos for Flick of the Switch tracks.)[2] Like their previous album, Flick of the Switch, Angus and Malcolm Young chose to produce in order to capture the rawness and simplicity of their early works[1] in a time when pop-oriented glam metal became popular. The album was not well received by critics and only sold one million copies upon its release, as opposed to the success of their previous albums, Back in Black and For Those About to Rock We Salute You.[3] The singles "Shake Your Foundations" and "Sink the Pink", however, are seen as standouts from the album,[1][4][5] and both songs were later included on the band's soundtrack album Who Made Who for Stephen King's film Maximum Overdrive. A video featuring the band performing five of the album's songs was also released in the summer of 1985. The album was re-released in 2003 as part of the AC/DC Remasters series. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Brian Johnson: lead vocals Angus Young: lead guitar Malcolm Young: rhythm guitar, backing vocals Cliff Williams: bass guitar, backing vocals Simon Wright: drums, percussion

It is the seventh Australian and sixth internationally released studio album by the band. Released on 21 July 1980, Back in Black was the first AC/DC album recorded without former lead singer Bon Scott, who died on 19 February at the age of 33, and was dedicated to him. The band considered disbanding following his death, but they ultimately decided to continue, with encouragement from Scott's parents, and shortly thereafter hired Brian Johnson as their new lead singer and lyricist. Producer Robert John "Mutt" Lange, who had previously worked with AC/DC on Highway to Hell, was again brought in to produce. The album was recorded at Compass Point Studios in Nassau, Bahamas, and Electric Lady Studios in New York, where the album was also mixed. Back in Black was originally mastered by Bob Ludwig at Masterdisk, New York. It was remastered and re-released in 1994, then again as part of the Bonfire box set in 1997, and as part of the AC/DC Remasters series in 2003 by George Marino. In addition, a Dualdisc version was released in 2004, featuring the album in enhanced LPCM Stereo format and the video documentary The Story of Back in Black. As of June 2011, the album has sold an estimated 50 million copies worldwide, making it tied for fourth highest-selling album of all time, the best-selling hard rock album of all-time, and the best-selling album ever released by an Australian musical act. On 13 December 2007, the RIAA certified it 22x multi-platinum, recognizing sales of 22 million in the US,[6] making it the sixth-highest-selling album in the US (fourth-highest at the time).
Track List:

Hells Bells
Shoot to Thrill
What do You do for Money Honey
Givin' the Dog a Bone
Let Me Put My Love Into You
Back in Black
You Shook Me All Night Long
Have a Drink on Me
Shake a Leg
Rock & Roll Ain't Noise Pollution
Preview [:Qsmile] Quality: .OPUS @ 128k (VBR), 48Khz. This is my Tribute to My Greatest Lead singer Bon Scott. I left the lyrics in as they really show the meaning of the song, especially when the girl says "Go to Hell" - I have another copy w/o the lyrics but Ill go with this one for now. Probably do the other one next..per my usual. Here is a summary of Bon's Life and Death and also a little history of ACDC. If you follow the link at the bottom - this is a gr8 story on what happened the night Bon Died. Alot of controversey and heresay. Sad. Ronald Belford "Bon" Scott (9 July 1946 – 19 February 1980) was a Scottish-born Australian rock musician, best known for being the lead singer and lyricist of Australian hard rock band AC/DC from 1974 until his death in 1980. In the July 2004 issue of Classic Rock, Scott was rated as number one in a list of the "100 Greatest Frontmen Of All Time" ahead of Freddie Mercury and Robert Plant. Hit Parader ranked Scott as fifth on their 2006 list of the 100 Greatest Heavy Metal Vocalists of all time. AC/DC's popularity grew throughout the 1970s, initially in Australia, and then internationally. Their 1979 album Highway to Hell reached the top twenty in the United States, and the band seemed on the verge of a commercial breakthrough. However, on 19 February 1980, Scott died after a night out in London. AC/DC briefly considered disbanding, but the group quickly recruited vocalist Brian Johnson of the British glam rock band Geordie. AC/DC's subsequent album, Back in Black, was released only five months later, and was a tribute to Scott. It went on to become the second best-selling album in history. "About 11 pm on 3 May 1974, at the Old Lion Hotel in North Adelaide, during a rehearsal with the Mount Lofty Rangers, a very drunk, distressed and belligerent Bon Scott had a raging argument with a member of the band. Bon stormed out of the venue, threw a bottle of Jack Daniels on to the ground, then screamed off on his Suzuki 550 motorbike."[9] Scott suffered serious injuries from the ensuing motorcycle accident, spending three days in a coma and a further 18 days in hospital. Vince Lovegrove and his wife, by then running a booking/management agency, gave Scott odd jobs, such as putting up posters and painting the office during his recovery, and shortly after introduced him to AC/DC who were on the lookout for a new lead singer. "There was a young, dinky little glam band from Sydney that we both loved called AC/DC ... Before another AC/DC visit, George Young phoned me and said the band was looking for a new singer. I immediately told him that the best guy for the job was Bon. George responded by saying Bon's accident would not allow him to perform, and that maybe he was too old. Nevertheless I had a meeting with Malcolm and Angus, and suggested Bon as their new singer. They asked me to bring him out to the Pooraka Hotel that night, and to come backstage after the show. When he watched the band, Bon was impressed, and he immediately wanted to join them, but thought they may be a bit too inexperienced and too young. After the show, backstage, Bon expressed his doubts about them being "able to rock". The two Young brothers told Bon he was "too old to rock". The upshot was that they had a jam session that night in the home of Bon's former mentor, Bruce Howe, and at the end of the session, at dawn, it was obvious that AC/DC had found a new singer. And Bon had found a new band." In 19 February 1980, Bon Scott, 33 at the time, passed out after a night of heavy drinking in a London club called the Music Machine (hosted at the Camden Palace, currently known as the KOKO). He was left to sleep in a car owned by an acquaintance named Alistair Kinnear, at 67 Overhill Road in East Dulwich, South London. The following afternoon, Kinnear found Scott lifeless, and alerted the authorities. Scott was rushed to King's College Hospital in Camberwell, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Pulmonary aspiration of vomit was the cause of Scott's death, and the official cause was listed as "acute alcohol poisoning" and "death by misadventure". Scott was cremated and his ashes were interred by his family in Fremantle, Western Australia, the area to which they had moved when he was a boy. Inconsistencies in media accounts of Scott's death (incorrect spelling of Alistair Kinnear's first name, amongst others) have been cited in conspiracy theories, which suggest that Scott died of a heroin overdose, or was killed by exhaust fumes redirected into the car, or that Kinnear did not exist. Additionally, Scott was asthmatic, and the temperature was below freezing on the morning of his death. Ozzy Osbourne states in the documentary Don't Blame Me that Scott actually died of hypothermia. The coroner had no such doubts based on the medical facts. Shortly after his death, AC/DC briefly considered quitting, but later felt that Scott would have wanted them to continue and hired Brian Johnson as the new vocalist. Angus Young stated in an interview with VH1 that Scott's mother, whom all the band members personally knew, heartily approved of the band continuing, and felt that it was the only way to properly remember her son and their bandmate. Five months after Scott's death, AC/DC recorded Back in Black as a tribute to him. Two tracks from the album, "Hells Bells" and "Back in Black" were also dedicated to his memory. The French rock band Trust wrote their hit song "Antisocial" in memory of Scott in 1980. Ozzy dedicated "Suicide Solution" to him. This song is known for alleged subliminal messages about suicide, but Ozzy stated it was only a tribute to the singer. This is the best story I could find on what happened that night: http://www.classicrockmagazine.com/features/bon-scott-the-mysterious-death-of-acdcs-legendary-frontman/2/ LYRICS: "Shot Down In Flames" Whoa Whoa, one two Out on the town Lookin' for a woman Gonna gimme good love Anybody wanna hand off me And give me plenty of She was standin' alone Over by the juke box Like she'd some thing to sell I said baby what's the goin' price She told me to go to hell Shot down in flames Shot down in flames Ain't it a shame To be shot down in flames Singles bar Got my eye on a honey Hangin' out everywhere She might be straight She might want my money I really don't care, no Said baby Drivin' me crazy Laid it right on the line When a guy with a chip on his shoulder said Toss off buddy she's mine Shot down in flames Shot down in flames Ain't it a shame To be shot down in flames Hey you Angus Shoot me, shoot That's nice Shot down in flames Shot down in flames Ain't it a shame To be shot down in flames Shoot Shot down in flames Shot down in flames Ain't it a shame To be shot down in flames I don't need a thing Don't wanna be Shot down in floames Video: Frame Width: 1280 Frame Height: 768 Data Rate: 3005kbps Total Bitrate: 3699kbps Frame Rate: 29 FPS Audio: Dolby Pro Logic II Bit Rate: 693kbps Channels 2(stereo) Audio Sample Rate: 44 khz
